Thanks for the welcome !.. i took the car out did some nice curves.. not too hard.. but enough to feel this tire really HUG the road.. no squealing.. me thinks i will really like this tire (drive)
Hope you didn't buy the Kumos. I have no experience with the Falkens so I can't comment on them but I just replaced my BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 with the ASX 400 miles ago. The Kumos are much more comfortable and quiet but they don't handle well and they squeal at every hard turn. The change, however, was good for me since I went back to using my P5 for work until it dies.
I currently have the ASXs in the stock size. I would rate their overall level of grip as adequate but not great. They weren't noisy compared to the stock Dunlops but did get noisy as the tread wore.
Anyway, I am not going to get another set. I think for me it has come down to the General Exclaim UHP and the Falken ZE-912. I think the General's will get the nod because the lean towards performance on the performance scale.
I've kuhmos in the past... hated them. Rain traction was just down right bad and the wear was worse then the 512's I have now. My 512's I've had forever and they are still kicking nice and strong. It's all about proper maintenance; make sure to check the tire pressure, and rotate your tires often.
I got the same size tires that the Dunlops were.. 195/50R16.. So far i have to say i like them alot.. Rained.. and they stuck to the road.. go to www.falkentire.com.. look under tires.. in "All Season" u can see the tread on them.. (they look more aggressive when on the car)
Soon as i can find the camera i'll post them.. but u should go look and check them out.
