Factory turbo's actual power output

Reworked the GT25 is good for over 330whp.
obvously a wheel change was in order to make that difference... but what did you do to alleviate the choke points? This does sound like a good viable option for MSP owners who want to puch it, so they dont have to spend $1000 on a GT28 variant or other

Machined the comp housing for the 28 wheel. Ported the stock exhaust manifold and S casting. 15 psi 328whp. Next time more boost, maybe 21 on the dyno. If it works should have 360-370. If back pressure becomes a problem then not much more gains to be had.

Based on what I have see so far with other dyno sheets here on the forum. I do not think that back pressure will be a problem, but you never know.

yeah, time with tell... how much is the actual turbo machine work + new wheel costing though? not including the manifold porting, because that would need to be done with a larger turbo also to reach the same numbers in my opionion.

I'm just trying to see if it is a viable option cost wise for someon vs. a GT2871 or a GT3071-WG (t25 flange) IF it would fit... ya know.

something tells me it would still be worth it to port the stocker... but, ya know

We get around $1,200.00 to do the whole package. Rebuild the turbo with upgraded wheel, Ported exhaust manifold, ported S catsing and ported turbine side.

yeah, so its still cheaper... good job... and good luck.

I cant wait to get all my stuff together and start pushing it... too bad I cant really try anything till I have a tranny (well a REAL tranny anyways)

how durable are you guys finding the tranny? Can it hold up to 250-300hp daily?

yeah it'll hold fine, just take care of the LSD problem, and don't slam the gears (bending shitforks)

thats great that they can handle the power, one less thing to worry about.

so when you shift, you are letting off the gas entirely until you get into the next gear, then clutch out then WOT again? Ive always just driven with my foot to the floor, guess its time to change it up for the trannys sake.

clutch... when you shift? No wonder you guys are running slow.

so i guess now the question is... "how many spare TRANNY's do you have laying around in the garage?" (hump) (naughty)

lol he has a stock tranny, but he just pulls it through the gears without the clutch lol. he posted on here one time about how he drives it down the strip...

quite the expensive philosophy. I think Id rather hit low 13s using my clutch, ya know just in case i need a tranny for the drive home, but if it works for you then good.

you gotta hit high 13's before you can go low 13's. lol

Haven't broke anything but the diff. over 320 and counting..

im beating high 13 cars right now using useless stock tires that are about to fall off the rims, with slicks i will be there no problem. running 12+ psi + meth. when this gay snow melts Ill take a new video. The FMIC helped alot.
