Thanks for all the congrats and well wishes guys and gals! This is a fantastic community!
I am still breaking in the car. Plus the last thing I need is a street racing charge when my insurance is $4k/year.
And a WRX did some crazy maneuvers through traffic on the 401 to pull up alongside me today. Took a good long look at my car. I gave him a nod of approval in return.

Yeah, I find the recommended settings don't have enough punch in the upper registers. But I haven't even tried putting a CD in yet; just having way too much fun driving!
I'll play around with it later.
Phew, I thought I was going crazy. Funny you mention the alarm - another strange thing that happens is when I lock the doors while the car is moving, and the hazard lights blink once.... strange stuff. I'll mention it to the dealer at my first oil change. I also have to get them to check the foglight indicator (doesn't come on when the fogs are on - or is there even an indicator at the switch or dashboard??
) and the air intake pipe (the short 90 pipe off the air cleaner box) just plain fell off today. Should there be a clamp holding it on? I put it back in place but its not too tight and I'm afraid it will get lost. Ah well, we'll work out the bugs.
It is like trying not to scratch an itch.
Alas, I haven't been able to visit the RX-8 forum much. Work and home life have been verrrry busy.

Anywho....9 times out of 10, the recommended settings suck. Play with it a bit.....if you can stop driving it long enough
