yeah I knew they all were pics of them installed. It is hard to see his avatar on my computer. (shrug) trying to find a google image of stock lids to compare to

Ah, I see....shouldn't be too hard finding pics of stock lights. It's not an entire light overlay, they just cover part of the lens.....gives the car a bit more of a meaner look...after all they can't be happy all of the time. ;)

yeah. I like that look.

just a side note, these headlights are a p.i.t.a. to cover! all the edges and stuff really make it difficult to form anything like Lamin-x on. I used a heat gun to try and do mine but couldnt get it just right and ended up with thee huge creases where it didnt conform to the light.

Did you do it yourself or have it done professionally?

It's abs plastic if i'm not mistaken. NO moulding....just take off the 3m backing on the tape and put into place

I've never done a headlight overlay but plan on getting them professionally done on the 3. Material would cost me about $60 while a shop in town quoted me $75. For $15 they can have the headaches. lol

I bought the lids from someone on here on the forums. He made one set, and I offered to buy them. There not a full eyelid, kind of like a shorty lid...lol...Painted and clear coated them myself and used 3m sticky tape.

haha let them do it! I am going to have a shop do it for me instead. I didn't think it would be such a pain.

Looks awesome. It goes well with the overall look
Didn't realize you had a speed 3.

I made a front spoiler out of the same material. With a more radical shape than what is offered online
ill post some pictures soon
congratulations and all the best.

Thanks again for the eyelids. Mind sending me some pics of the front spoiler? :)

The great thing about these lids is that you can create a more or less aggressive look by moving the lids a few inches backward or forward. See the front tip of the lid? slide it forward until it touches the corner of the hood. Stand back and look at it, it will appear very aggressive.

I think I am going to do that.

These were made by one of the forum members and sold to me. I am not certain but I think I have the only set.

Nice looks easy.
Whats the cost?
Anyone have these on a red MS3? I would like to see the pics
