Exhaust smell after install?

Okay, I just put on my new exhaust system (as in today). When I was driving around I noticed that every now and then I'd get an exhaust smell into the cabin. I drive with the windows down, but still, I don't think that smell is supposed to be there. I can't hear any exhaust leak, though. Is it normal for it to smell a little when you first put it on?

Yeah, thats normal. It happened on my Magnaflow too. It should go away in a couple of weeks.

u are probably just heating up the steel, and you smell it, i had it on my honda and smelt it. Went away after likea week.

the weird smell you are getting is the SS heating up. it sorta smells like a mixture of burning metal and exhaust fumes. it'll go away after enough carbon deposits in the piping, which usually takes a few days, depending on how much you drive. what exhaust did you go with?
