i was wondering what is the best setup to use in my car. . i hear people just use a downpipe and by pass the cats and others use high flow cats im not really literate in the exhaust genre. pls help me out by posting what your guys did with your exhaust and suggestions

there aren't many people that have done anything with it yet. ForceFed had a company called Apex Motorsports do up some Downpipes in a mini group buy about a month back which is a good deal. there's a couple companies offering cat-back systems out there that would work as well but you won't really see any increase in HP without getting rid of the restrictive stuff like the 2 catalytic converters first.

ok, now that thats said. your exhaust components are-
Downpipe-first piece of the exhaust that comes right off the turbo. the deal forcefed had going was for this which did not include a highflow cat or testpipe.

Testpipe-section of exhaust right behind the down pipe and between the cat-back where you could put a highflow catalytic converter in place along with a downpipe to mass emissions.

Catback-exactly what it says, its the section of exhaust from either your catalytic convert or downpipe/testpipe back to the muffler.

if you have really strict emissions laws in your state your going to need a testpipe or highflow cat with your setup so nobody can say anything about it. or a hookup who does inspections. not sure if this will help any but thats about all i can say now.

yeah, he basically covered it all. I'm not sure what part of the westside you are in, I'm in cali. I need to verify because if you don't have a cat in cali the fine is min. $2500. That was from the chp's mouth but not confirmed. so that is why i didn't go with the down pipe group buy without the cats that was offered.

good luck.
