The time has come for a cat back system for my 90 miata. I'm thinking about replacing the cat while I'm at it too. Can anyone suggest a system that is noticeably louder than stock, but not too loud, while at the same time not having that tin can ricer sound? I've only heard .wav files of a flyin' miata dual tip and a borla system. Does anyone have or heard a Jackson Racing or Racing Beat system (with or without resonator)? Or does anyone know a website with audio clips of different systems? Thanks.

Flyin Miata duals with a high flow cat sounds great. I had it on my car for a year before the turbo, and now a year with the turbo. This year Im going to turbo duals. The FM system is def one if not the best sounding and looking exhausts. Skip borla, unless you like drone......and Enthuza has a nice setup for turbo'd Miatas, but I havent heard much about the N/A one.

Vash-

how does dual exhaust work on a miata? is the driver side piping hangered or anything? or does it rely on 3 existing hangers?

I'd say if you want to keep stock-ish noise levels go with Bosal/Brospeed. That's what I have on my Miata. In conjunction with the Jackson Racing highflow cat, and my custom intake, the sound is just great.

If only my other BP car could sound half as good...

racing beat duals is what i have and they sound nice, has a nice deep note and doesnt get really loud or raspy.

the drivers side tip is hanging in mid air. The rest of the muffler, and passenger side tip use stock hangers. You will have to make a cut-out on the driver's side. so make sure you like it first...

ok, i'm bringing on the surface this topic so that i can get some info about an exhaust system. because i hitted on a bump my no-brand-diy aftermarket exhaust i was looking for an exhaust. the problem is i'm not fan of those stock-like with that little tip exhausts like the borla ones or racing beat (yes i know they are great but not my style). so i felt on that and i really liked it. before getting into bother ordering it does anyone ownes one or knows anything about it?

thanx in advance

I've had JR and RB and the RB sounds better. But the Magnaflow sounds better than all of them. OR a Candoo 4 (uses a magnaflow muffler). I'd get a magnaflow off ebay or something though. AWESOME quality product and sounds nice :)

I'm in the process of hunting down a vender for the RSR Exmag GT2. It's a light weight canister design cat-back with 45 deg. bends. And it does'nt sound ricey.

Here's a picture of one...9th post down from anfieldmx5.
