Exhaust catbacks

Im in florida and im going to purchase a new exhaust soon. Ill probably settle for a catback / testpipe combo. I really want a GHL but its about 2X the price of the corksport / most other brands. Anyone know why? Is it because its stainless steel? Anyway Corksport seems popular but im a little afraid of the catless situation. Ill be replacing the test pipe (removing 1 cat) and replacing the axleback (removing back 2 cats). Are their any other cats in the mazdaspeed 6 or will I be completely catless? Also anyone know if it is legal to go catless in florida? I would rather fork out a few hundred more $$ and get the GHL than have to deal with the police. I was also looking at the vibrant website and I didnt see any mazdaspeed 6 exhausts. I know they have them . . . All i saw was mazdaspeed 3. Thanks for any help.

Cops are not going to bother you with your "catless" car. Only if they do inspection or you need warranty work. Dealerships legally will not touch your car if you do not have cats on.

There are 2 cats on the MS6. 1 is in the section of DP immediately off the turbo, the other cat is the separate rear section (that can be replaced by the RP). If you only get a RP (instead of full DP) then you will still have 1 cat on the car.

If you are looking for max performance, you want full catless TBE, no mufflers, straight pipes (no y-split) - CPE single!

If you are looking for a compromise between sound, looks, etc, then you can start to consider the other options as well.

Thanks for the responses. Ive never seen a speed 6 with a single exhaust. Would look kind of weird. Anyway do you guys know if corksport makes a catback exhaust? I was looking at pictures of it and it seemed as if it had cats. The corksport is the cheapest one if seen and its full stainless steel. Ive seen lots of people in the forums with positivie feedback about em. I want to stick with cats to avoid CEL issues.
