Whats up everyone im looking for an exause for my next mob but im not sure wich way to go. Im about the only person in this state with a p5 so i need some help. Im looking for something with a deep tough sound, as far away from RICE!!!!!!! as possible. I was looking at the greddy evo cat, but like i said earlier im not sure. PLease no RICE!!! its a mazda not a honda...LOL

i do believe you will be the only p5 in nj with an exause.

for exhausts, you've got plenty of choices - mazdaspeed axleback, the hks axleback, greddy catback, racing beat, obx, magnaflow... and more than i can't think of.

not to rag on you but if your a bit more clear in your post people would be able to help you.

go for a nice HKS muffler or something equivalent on eBay (no dual tip or anything like that), and get yourself some custom piping at an exhaust shop to save money. then use the extra to get yourself an intake or something else you havent done.

i was leaning more for Greddy, or magnaflow only because of the name, but im still not sure. Anyone got an audio feeds??

(rlaugh) at posts before.

I like my Bosal catback is it deep and everyone says it sounds exactly like a WRX. I dunno, as I haven't truely heard it outside the car.

I went to Walts in Washington State, they put on an awesome FlowMaster exhaust system that has a nice low bass sound -- no rice for this old man.

Mind if I ask how much they charged? I'm crazy busy (and a tad bit lazy) right now and am thinking of going this route rather than doing it myself.

You got the full cat-back?

About $450... they did a great job. I'm too busy, so why not pay someone else :)

now thats a rip off.

HKS muffler: 60 bucks
Custom welding: 100 bucks
Results: identical.

my RB shipped was like 480. about 30-45 min to put it on ( i only had ramps) and presto...awesome exhaust.

damn i cant believe you people pay that much for like 3-4whp at best. ive had my exhaust re-worked like 3 times for less than that.

ebay. theyre like 9 bucks plus 50 shipping or something. even if you paid like 100 bucks for a muffler and 100 for custom piping, youre still at least half the price, same gains, if not more.

And your HKS angles off to the side right? It'll fit w/o custom cat-back pipes too right? I like that angled look... this sounds like a good way to go, custom.

yes originally i was just as worthless when i first started modding and bought the worthless hks axleback. (worthless as in gains/cost)

i liked the angle and kept it each time i had my exhaust redone for a new turbo or whatever.
