exactly what is different about the MSP ECU

ok, I have good reason to believe i fried by MSP ECU. now, my question is, are the msp and regular protege ECU's the same thing, just with different maps? If so, I can get one reflashed at mazda for 75 bucks. that'd be cool.

Also, does anyone know for sure if the same fuel rail and injectors are used in the MSP as the regular protege? Thanks for yall's help.

i plan on going into that if and when i figure out if i did. do you have any information on simliarities? Do they plug into the same socket?
