evolution sighting...wow...

whats up everyone. im new posting to this site and just wanted to tell everyone my story. well im driving along the interstate witgh my brother behind me. hes got a 02 se-r. anyways...i see a black car with a big wing and altezzas pull onto the interstate and come to realize it is a new evolution. all i can say is WOW. this car is so mean looking. especially when you see it on the road and view the big ass intercooler up front. baddest looking car i have ever seen except for a f-50. well me and my bro were driving next to him giving him props on his hot ass ride when some ricer in a freakin chrysler sebring with a pep boys muffler that looked as if it was going to fall off pulls up on the other side of him and starts reving his engine wanting to race the evo. the guy in the evo just laughed and floored it. and the sebring actually had the nerve to try and keep up with it. i swear the evo was like gone from 60 mph to 100 in like 5 seconds. it was the funniest thing i had ever seen in my life. just kind of mad i didnt have my digicam with me at the time or i would have pics. so anyways. that is my story. btw. is anyone in this forum in the virginia or virginia beach area?? me, my bro, and a couple of friends are trying to start a group round here. all nissans and mazdas.

Yep there are a good number of us in Northern Virginia.

The EVO VIII is a mean car, friend owns one. He's toyed with our other friends M3 SMK on the highway and pull. 1/4 mile at the track in the 13.2 and getting faster-all stock.
Insane around corners, behaves very well for a AWD.

Nice cars, can't wait to see if they finally start bring more cars from Japan without detuning them alot! *Grrr*

We need better gas here before they start bringing over the really nice cars....our damn gas sucks, and we pay way too much for it.

I wonder what gas cost in Japan?

The WRX is nice front on, but I still got the same complaints about it. The rear is ugly, the wagon is still ugly from the front doors back, and the interior is bland. Now the STI might solve some of these issues inside, but a stock 2004 wrx is bland inside.

And my biggest complaint....the price! Come on, it's an Impreza

yea, i cant wait until the STi hits the streets aroud here. i actually might try to trade in my pro for it. i can definately afford it but i love my car to death. and i like my car payments for it. not really looking forward to a higher car payment even if it would eat my protege for breakfast. of course a lot of cars out there would eat my car for breakfast but its all about love...and i love my quicksilver...even if its not that quick...

I was looking down and all I saw was the big ass FMIC and when I looked up at the car and was like "Shiaaaaait!!" and almost s*** my pants.

well im a big mazda fan and my brother is a nissan fan and he came across a news article, i forgot where though, that said nissan is seriously considering bringing the skyline only it will probably be under the Infiniti badge and just called the GTR and priced around that of the Z06. supposedly that will be its main competitor. im waiting for toyota to bring in the new supra. and i just came across an aritcle in popular mechanics that says mazda is bring back the rx-7. wooo hooo

There has always been talk of bring the Skyline over, renaming it and putting under a different name plate. I finally got tried of all the talk, it's almost as bad as Mazdaspeed promises.

Actually for Mazda, I think they were replacing the RX-7 and Miata Together. For 2006 it's supposed to be called, a Mazda Miata6 MPS with a 280Hp 6-speed tranny. "Something like that, I'm not sure though. I read and came across this" at Motortrend" i think.(scratch) (scratch)

The more of these low-priced pocket rocket cars they bring over here, the higher the teenage-auto-fatality rate will rise.

I'm sure its fun to have a fast car like the EVO, but when 16-17 year olds start cutting you off on the highway and driving like maniacs...I know I personally would rather see them stay in Japan and off our streets.

I know there are plenty of domestics that fit into this category too, but most parents aren't going to buy their kids a Cobra when they ask for a Mustang....most fatalities probably occur in the base model V6 stangs and camaros.

I'm just saying this cause almost every EVO and WRX I have seen on the road has been driven by someone under the age of 25. You don't see people in that age bracket driving M3s, Porsches, and Audi S4s....which have comparable performance ratings, and you won't see the accident rate increase on those cars either, because the people driving them have learned respect for the road.

Wow ... where on Route 130? Maybe it was me! I have a black MSP, and am sometimes so fried on the ride home, its completely possible I missed it ... I usually get off the TP 'round 7pm and cruise south to East Windsor ...
