I think it was actually an elk. The car would be in quite a few pieces if it was a full-grown moose. I believe they actually say it on that forum. I think elg is svenska for elk.

This kinda reminds me of when I was younger and we were at our family's cabin and we drove by the aftermath of a train hitting a moose (blowup)

Moose are bastards up here, they all come down from the mountains in winter because the snow up there gets too deep for them to walk. That in combination with the low amount of sunlight we get up here in winter and icey roads is a terrible thing. about 2 weeks ago I came within a foot of clipping a mooses back left leg doin about 35-40, that ****** just continued on his way and didnt even try to get outta the way or hustle up. It scared the s*** outta me
