glad you posted a date! that was monday i didnt get home till tuesday morning from flordia so it wasnt me. if you ever see mine it will be stock silver msp with a 3" turbo back and look for the front mount (will be installed shortly i just got make room in the garage.) since your from cincy, would you eer wanna cruise around?

Must have been nice down in Florida! What part? I'm originally from Panama City Beach until I got married and was talked into moving to Ohio! I must have been drunk or something when she asked!!!

I'd love to cruise around if your game! If your interested, I'm heading to Edgewater this Friday to make a few passes. If youre not familiar with it, it's about 25 miles west of Mason so it shouldn't be too far from you, maybe 45 minutes or so. Gates open at 5:30 until 10:30. Looks like the weather going to cooperate too!!! :) PM me and we'll set something up.

Dude, you keep missing what he is saying. He is saying factory engine and turbo. No one said anything about a bone stock car. This is a stupid argument. Just stop.

Can you read? Obviously not every post..

There are also some factory freaks out there that have been tuned to run like the one you encountered.

So FACTORY doesnt mean stock? WOW, WhereTF have I been since this change happened?

Uhh, maybe you should read the whole thread again. The original question was about stock turbos....

Now seriously, just leave because you are ruining a good thread.

Welcome to the forum.

Basically, the MSP is capable as a platform. However, the EVO starts from stock as a car that takes easily to modifications.

The drivetrain is a massive advantage from a Dig, but personally, I don't see it being as big an advantage if you are roll racing (More Common on the street)

The EVO is a killer platform, if you put the level of mods required to make an MSP fast, on an EVO, you will win every time in the Mits.

The MSP is a fantastic car, it was the first real Factory Tuner car available here, (SVT FOCUS SUCKED).

Again, welcome to the forum and being the first non mazda member who didn't start s***. :) (Recent Memory) You are a credit to your forum.

Regards

I really appreciate your feedback and your "welcome to me" to the forum. So far, the members of this forum have been very helpful with some of the questions I've asked and extremely nice and welcoming. I hope to find some locals on here who are up for some cruise outings and track visits!

Thanks again!

Then he needs to word it correctly and there would be no communication problems..

Nvr2old34, thanks for stopping in. More pics and mod info on the EVO would be much appreciated. (thumb)[/QUOTE]

I have pics of the car on my laptop at home so I'll post a couple of them up this evening after work. I will warn you guys that I haven't done anything to the body of the car. It hasn't been lowered, windows are't tinted, rims are the same, but I did change the wheels out for all season for the snow! haha
I just liked the way it looked stock. :)

The only thing I really cared about is making it go faster :) Here are my modifications. I'll have some pics up tonight.

- 3'' Turbo back exhaust (No cat)
- Intake
- Lower/Upper I/C piping + Intercooler
- 272 Cams (Intake/Exhaust)
- Headstuds
- Ported exhaust manifold
- Ported o2 housing
- Fuel pump
- 20g-9 Turbo (Basically an Evo 9 turbo with a bigger compressor wheel/hotside)
- 880 Injectors
- AEM EMS
- Alcohol Injection
- Custom tune by David Buschur (Buschur Racing)
- Exedy Twin Disk Heavy duty clutch
- Mustang Dyno - 374/344

Well, I think that's it. I may have missed a few small things but who keeps track of these things.. :)

No biggie. Misunderstandings happen on the internet. We're all passionate about our cars and some people do make things up but I think all of us here are on the same page.

Now, bump for pics!!!

Any plans for a different exhaust mani? I have seen some pretty wild ones for the EVO.

Not right now but do agree there are some pretty good ones out there! I'm actually thinking of upgrading the turbo to a FP Evo Green turbo. This is something new Buschur Racing is offering which again, is an upgraded 20g turbo. So far, David Buschur hasn't tuned one on his Mustang Dyno that put down less then 400whp on pump and alcohol. It has almost a stock spool to it too!

PS. Pics of the Evo will be up this evening.

What injection kit are you running??

It's a kit that Buschur Racing sells. I'm going to have to claim the 5th on what brand it is. I went to their site to see if they listed the actual manufacturer but it didn't say. Sorry.

Ok guys, here are some pics. Again, I haven't done anything to the body of the car so you may think it looks plain, but I love it! :) Hope you enjoy..

Here's one more, but it's just my dyno pull. They sent the wrong file to me. The last pull I made 374/344. Oh well, what a couple of ponies.. :)

Forgot to mention something on the dyno pull... I had them overlay where I was a year ago so pull # 1 was before I had the AEM / 20g / Alky. I just wanted to see the difference so I would fill justified for all the darn money I spent. :)

i'm going to gatlinburg this weekend or i would go to egdewater. i have been there a couple of times. i need to see what my car runs before i put my fmic and intake mani on so i will def be going within the next couple of weeks.

There's actually 2 of them, the other one is just smaller. I swear, my 6 y/o is going to get me in trouble. She's the one always telling me to go faster.. :) Yep, teach them young I say!
