well after getting 2 tickets in a month i decided to finally mount my plate back on my bumper, i bought this mount off ebay and here are some pictures of how it looks, let me know what you guys think.

couple of the pics were taken while i was at the track last night.

I think it give is a mean look to the car.

Right now i love the way the front end of my car looks.

Is there any way to make it straighter? I don't think it looks good how it sits like that.

If you have to have a front plate, off to the side is the way to do it.

Were those first three taken at a track or something? That looks like a bag of ice on your charge pipe. I use a weed killer spray bottle (or whatever you call them) rubbing alcohal/water mix w/ ice. :)

yea that's at the track, i had like 3 bags of ice on my engine at one point, it was so hot.

That is as straight as i could get it to sit the way the bracket is.

Looks nice. Your car IS all that AND a bag of ice.

well, the locations okay, but it's not sitting flat, i'd like to see it look more like it belongs there, no offense man!!:)

Is there a law saying how close to the center it has to be?

not here in taxachusetts...just has to be on the front of the car....i had my suctioned cupped to the inside of the windshield for a long time...i'm off to the inspection station so i've got it mounted to my grill off to the left....otherwise they'll give me a hard time...

the way the bracket is and the layout of the foglight holes, i couldn't get it sitting any better.

I'd put it on the otherside so it doesnt restrict airflow to the CAI or even the stock airbox... Your pretty much blocking that off completly now. But i do like the concept. If i had to do it, i'd probably do it like you have, just on the other side.

i have a sri.....but i'd rather have it on the driver side cause that's the side cops look at most anyway and i'd rather not have it on the pass side and get pulled over for not having one cause they didn't see it.

best time i've run is a 14.1 @100 with a 2.4 60ft.

Gotta go back since i've gotten a pulley and new tires and a clutch.

Ugh!! WTF did you do man??? take that s*** off immediately!! seriously dude, that looks horrbile. I doubt there's anyone on this planet that hates front license plates more than I. unless they're integrated (like audis for example) they just look horrendous. break up any flow the car has. the one notable exception is, ironically, the car you're mimicking here. for whatever reason, the evo pulls it off. (though it still looks better without one) I think the angle of the nose plays a role. since our cars do not have nearly the same face, a side mounted plate just doesn't work. (sorry) clearly one mounted in the front would be even worse (with your fmic and all) so....

what does one do? personally, I'm shocked you've received 2 tix for this in such a short time. I've NEVER had a front plate on ANY of the 7 cars I've had within the past 11 years. Been pulled over... that's for sure. but never once was the absense of the front plate a topic of conversation. i'm not saying I don't believe you... I do. I just think it's s*** ass luck... and, for the sake of your sweet lookin ride, I think you should realize that you've gotten the 2 times you'd be pulled over for this in your enitre life over with NOW and know that the odds of it happening again just aren't there.

if you really must do this... just throw it inside on the dash or something. our car's look great from pretty much every angle.... but I personally like the front the best. why **** that up?

anywayz... sorry to be so harsh. i'm just a fan of clean lines. while I realize the importance of having a front plate (for law enforcement) I still think it's a lame law. the fact that so few get pulled over for it (like myself.. and I drive a bright orange car all over the state of CT) makes me think that perhaps cops feel the same way. and no... i dont' believe in jinxes.

looks decent...i would have fabricated a mount and placed it BELOW the inlet....hell it's just a plate, so if it scrapes the ground, who cares.
