Everyone needs to put a K&N filter on before the intake comes out!!

Seriously this mod is awesome. I just got around to it today. I bought a universal K&N like filter and did the exact same setup as AGR and man is it sweet. I can finally here my turbo in every gear especially at 9psi lol! I cant wait till that intake comes out as well. THen a blow off valve THEN INTERCOOLER THEN EXHAUST HAHAHAHA Im gonna mod the heck out of this car it has so much potential. God I <3 my mazdaspeed. In other news I beat a 300ZX from 0-60 then he pulled on me after that and eventually about 1 car ahead when we hit 90. It was good stuff. I dont think he had many mods... becuase I thought those cars were out of our league?

Yeah, the K&N is a good upgrade, but I wonder if it has any affect on that hiccuping/hesitation that sometimes happens...I unhooked the battery to clear the ecu..and that seems to have helped a bit, but it still hiccups once in awhile usually in 2nd..
The sound is much better with the K&N..it sounds awesome..

If anything; the K&N has helped eliminate the 'hiccup factor' on my MAZDASPEED. Yeah; it shows up occassionally, but I feel, it's mostly gone.

well there were mixed reviews about the filter. a lot said it helped and others said it hurt. some got awesome gains, others more head aches. i still donno if i wanna do this, or just wait for the intake

I have had no problems other than the idle stumbles a little when the fan starts blowing on the filter but oh well it hasnt affected the car so its not affecting me. Later

I'm mostly just comparing it to leaving the stock air filter on..that thing is pretty weak...

i just hope yall hooked your IAT sensor back up ..... pull the sensor and mount it in the piping , hang it with some wire near the cone or something cuz thats the prob with of ur main idling problems.....
