I bought one of the sets...I need to get some pictures...My car looks almost identical to Sevsev's though...I just don't have a front lip...

anyone have any lip issues though? meaning I have only had these on for about two weeks and have already have a couple dings on the outer portion of wheel lip on two different wheels...in between where the tire mounts to the wheel...I have 205/40 tires, which are stretched a bit to fit, leaving this part of the wheel exposed...but I have never done anything drastic or hit any noticable harsh bumps...I was wondering if I just didn't notice them before, and that they happened when the tires were installed...

either way, they are not bad...and I love the look..I love how they are 17" but kind of look smaller...they expose less space around the brake rotor, making the brakes look less tiny IMO...

that why you should run 215/40/17 or 215/45/17.remember the rims are 7 1/2" wide. the set up was recommended by Rishie. hope you get it changed.

understood...but Bridgestone RE 750s were $52 each on sale at tire rack...couldn't pass that up...and they were only on sale in that one size...

They look a little narrower than yours...but the stretch is nearly identical...these tires seem to be on the small side footprint wise per width...and VW guys run way wilder stretches than a 205 wrapped on a 7.5" wheel...I bet it has something to do with the shop that installed the tires...because on the one wheel the two dings are directly across the diameter from each other...meaning the one knick is 180* from the other...a bit unlikely to gouge a wheel like that on two different bumps...
