Safe tuning is worth the money to some people, map clamping and cranking your boost just isnt what some people want. (enguard)

ya, i agree that it definitely depends on your expectations, but i believe that the majority of MS3 owners will prefer the safe tuning over the balls-to-the-wall modding that some of us (many thanks to them for letting us know the limits of our cars) prefer. since the MS3 is such a utilitarian compromise between DD and high-performance rocket, many of its buyers are going to appreciate the moderate gains that the cobb AP will provide while still preserving the longevity of their cars.

anyone who is expecting the cobb maps (pre-selftune software) to give them the superhuman ability to run down corvettes and porsches is probably going to be pretty disappointed when he gets left in the dust...^^;

Word! I agree though, its nice to see what some of these guys are doing in regards to the limitations of this car. I want to see some dyno number's with these 22-24 psi guys (eek2)

good lord...driver's car is gonna make some SERIOUS numbers at that boost lvl!!! (drive2)

as much as i would love to have those numbers on my car, i will continue living vicariously through his forum posts for the safety of my baby...;) i intend to drive this car for a LONG time into the future, so no overly-ambitious mods for me! (no)

You must live under a rock or something.....(dunno)

Yeah, yeah... Oh next week AP will be released...oh, no, RX will be released first then, maybe MS3, wait next quarter, etc, etc, etc... (blah)

We've all heard it before...

When I see the first one on the shelves with a price tag on it ready for sale...then I will believe all the hype... Till then, its all empty promises!!!

I need to see it in my hands to believe it...

Don't get me wrong...the concept it amazing and if it does ever get released, I'll be one of the first ones to order one...
But, till then, I'll count on whats available now!!

I'll see it when I see it... Thats all...

Right now:

Cobb AP = 0HP
