Erractic idle when car warms up

Hi

I got rid of the stock air box and installed an apexi air intake. No cel or hesitation whatsoever, cleaned out my MAF and IAT at the same time.
Car drives fine and the induction roar of the filter is amazing, (flash)

Issues since is that when the car is warming up, the idle will be very erractic till the water temp reaches normal operating temp, the idle will then stabilize at normal operating temp.

Car does not actually stalls or anything, just that it cannot keep a smooth idle till it warms up.

I reset the ecu after installing the apexi, by disconnecting the battery for 10 mins and thought that the ECU was simply relearning and that the warming up idle would be fine after driving for a while, but this has not been the case.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

How long have you driven it after disconnecting the battery? It takes longer than you'd think for the car to relearn its settings, and this sounds like a classic case of just that.

Otherwise, try cleaning your EGR valve (look in the How-To forum for details) and check your new intake for leaks.

I think i am on the second fuel tank. Ecu cannot take that long to relearn.
