Does anyone know if any Protege 2.0 engine will work on the Mazdaspeed Protege? What do I need for the install?

yeah but you will need a msp windage tray so you can run the turbo oil lines no problem. just take off your old one and switch it over as for anything esle you would need I don't know.

There are plenty of threads that explain what is required to swap a regular protege FSDE into an MSP. I get sick of reading the same question over and over.

Yes I'm having trouble finding one in my area. I thought the 7 or 8 digit in the vin number has to match.

no, any motor from 2001,2002,2003. is what i went with a 2002 protege lx motor. just swap the oil trat for the turbo over and your good.

correct me if im wrong.
