just bought MS3 yesterday. I have been into the NA side of hondas and toyota and this is my first turbo car...

in a NA car it takes about 2-5 minutes to warm up. In this car its warm in less then one minute, like as soon as I turn it on its moving up. is this normal????

also, any one else have a problem with a low moan sound coming from the wheel/axle area at very low speeds. like 2-5 MPH??

yes and yes. My car warms up very quickly and never over heats. I live in las vegas where the temps have been above 100 for the last 43 days sometimes as high as 115+ and not a single problem. the low moan will go away after a while once the brakes get seated better.

the quick warm up time just shows that the Mazda engineers did an exceptional job on designing the cooling system. Fast warm up, and then constant temperature after that. Kind of brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it....

I am quite sure the owners manual says you do not have to wait for it to warm up.

But, I would not pound on the motor until it was warmed up for a few miles.

i think its from all the heat the turbo generates just to spin that it warms up so much quicker. it also takes exceptionally long for it to cool down!

Speaking of warming up... since this is your first turbo car, don't forget to Cool Down, too!

the reg n/a 3 2.3l warms up very quickly compared to other cars as well add a turbo to the mix i am sure it is quite fast :)

yes, I've been letting it cool down for the 30 seconds after freeway driving. dealership said to me that you do not have to do that with this car, thats more of a subi/evo thing. but I do it anyways...

yes, this car is amazing.
