Engine Swap 2005 in a 2003 Mazda6 V6

I am looking to swap a 2005 mazda 6 v6 engine into a 2003 mazda 6. Has anyone done this swap. The dealer is telling me that the short block is the same but the head may be different. I've found the 2005 engine really cheap and thats why I'm looking to try it. If anyone has done this or know if it will work please let me know.

What makes you want the v6? why not go for the motor out of a speed?
