Engine oil

Hi, quick question:

I'm close to my first oil change on the P5 and I was wondering what's best to put in?
I have a sticker on the engine that says "Elf Synthetic. Use only Elf Synthetic Oil."

I'm guessing I can use any synthetic, but what would be best for the harsh climate up here in Quebec? Temperature often goes below -10 celsius in winter.

5W40 / 10W30 / 0W40 .... I'm lost here.

5w-30 synthetic would be best all around, at mazda 5w-30 is what they use year round in the p5

I use 10w-30 Synthetic Mobile 1 Oil.

Although if you search there are tons of Oil recommendation threads with more information.

10w-30 is good for summer in Quebec, but even as synthetic its too thick for winter driving.
