Engine loosing boost shifting into 3rd!

I was driving earlier this morning up a hill. I maybe had the pedal depressed half as much as it could go. When it shifted into 3rd or 4th, the car seemed really sluggish, as if I had lost boost. I also heard back pressure out my exhaust. Anyone have an idea what this might be. I haven't done much to the car. I have a Corksport CBE and just put on a Forge BOV running stock spring. Thanks

could be fuel related. You gotta use premium & the higher the better (obviously not race fuel). If you go into boost under load like that, it needs the extra umph to make it up the hill. If you do use premium, very well could be bad gas itself, OR not the octane that it was supposed be.

When is the last time you changed the fuel filter, air filter & plugs/coil packs?
