one half? The boot often 'slides off' the plug wire...with pretty much any brand, but did it break in half or something? As brian said; wires are wires on an other wise stock p5...none of them will last forever...and all of them will last 75k miles plus, and thats being pessimistic...if the rubber boot simply slid 'up' on the wire and connector...just push it back down...
The rubber boot apparently has 2 sections and on the champions they are held together with a silicon type substance and when I pulled up on it to get at plugs it just ripped the silicon and separated. but you can just push the top half and it will seat itself back on the lower section BUT you will never get the plugs out again (boom05)lol
well maybe not never, but with some persuation,one way may be to take manifold cover off or ,use a wire to hook it out of hole, or put some type of glue or silicon on the upper half and seat it on the lower half and let it dry,may work or long needle nose plyers
