Well car is done well the engine anyway, its going to cost me 2500 dollars thats just a used engine and labor and our parts i might need.I was going down the road i was just cruisin and one minute later all you hear is pum pumb sound like something broke in the engine. then oil just poured out of the bottom of the car i had a oil trail all the way home cuz i was far from home. Whats still interesting to me that car will still crank and i dont know why if the engine is messed up? this will teach me a very big lesson on keepin my car maintance when it comes to maintance. anyways if any body comes across any used motors pm me thank you..

Heck, I'm in Cornelia, GA and I have a MP3 engine and tranny for sale.. I could even meet you with it somewhere. Everything on the engine is complete, all you would have to do is take your engine out, set this one in, hook up your wiring harness, any hoses, etc. and you're done pretty much. If you can get some people together that would help put the engine in, I have a cherry picker I could volunteer as well.

Edited to say: I'm an hour and a half from you, so not that bad. I can bring it to you, no problem. Engine party, anyone??

You can definately get it done much cheaper than that! Motor should be closer to like $750-1000.

I have a quick question huh if i buy me a new short block cuz i found one that i can afford. with the rod breaking like that would it tear up my head. or will my head be fine. i know i will be needing a new oil pan but i just wanted to know that. And i really do appricate yalls help thank you.

Wow sounds bad, you can usually get a motor for under 1000 and some one to put it in for about 500. I'd get the injectors cleaned and at the least the timing belt and seals done while it's out, oh yeah rear main seal.

i know that but i wanna get an engine that has a warrently so if this happens i hope it wont i wont have to go threw the trouble. so if i buy a used motor it might be in the same condition like mine was ya know. really im just scared of buying a used engine but thats the cheap why out

then you better stay away from a reburished engine and only get a remaned if your afraid of anything breaking.

If you change your mind I have mine for sale, not a thing wrong with it, $750 delivered, I would put it in my MSP if I wasn't getting mine built. It came out of an MP3 I bought to part out, the rear of the car was messed up but the rest was fine, that one is down to the frame now though.

The only way to tell for sure is to pull the head and look. The piston may have slapped one or more of your valves and that could've damaged something, but you can't know for sure unless you pull it off.

I was under my car today and i was looking and i think the oil filter came off cuz there wasnt one on there, and i think what made me lose oil, i think the guy that did my oil change didnt tightin the oil filter and it came loose and came off and messed up my car. cuz a couple days it would still crank but now its sounds like the engine is locked. anyways im just going to go ahead and buy me a used engine for like 700 to 1000 and just replace my old engine

That could definately cause the problem! I have and will never pay someone to work on my car for anything. Well I did have my a/c charged!

DUDE!!!!!!! If someone else didn't tighten the oil filter enough, that's their problem. Does this guy work at a shop, or was he a friend that did it on the side? If it was a shop, they're responsible for all costs to replace your engine, including a rental car and towing.
