Anyone?

I'd like to be able to do this myself instead of paying $$$ to have someone else do it. So, those of you who've done it before or do it a lot...

- What do you use, product- and "tool"-wise?

- What should I be sure to cover up to prevent it from getting wet?

- Etc.

Much thanks in advance. :D

take off any engine covers, clean those separately.

-citrus based cleaners and degreasers. small-medium soft brushes for hard to reach areas, nylon and hard bristle brushes for rust/heavy grease. protectant to help maintain the look after the cleaning.

-cover any air intake openings and sparkplug coils with aluminum foil or plastic bags with rubber bands for starters. you should also cover the fuse box.

-if you use high pressure water, do not get too close, stand 4ft away depending on how much pressure you have going through the system. low/medium pressure is recommended.
