Enabling backup camera while moving forward?

We were towing a motorcycle over the weekend, and all of the luggage we were bring completely obscured the rear window. So we couldn't see that the bike was OK. But when the reverse camera was on, it gave a perfectly clear picture of whether the bike was still vertical.

We ended up having to stop a few times to check and recheck the tie-downs, and in fact once they had come quite loose and the bike was listing a bit to one side.

So, what I'm looking for is away to enable the backup camera other than having to put the transmission into reverse. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

check with www.tvandnav2go.com I remember a guy at the BMW forum has bypass the Nav system to watch DVD. He also said that the module tvandnav2go offers 3-4 different sources. He had one source hook to back up camera where he can see the rear while he's driving. shoot them an email and see what they offers. At the same time, can you ask them if they offer anything for our CX9 nav system?

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the reply. It looks like their system for Mazdas requires splicing the wires to the display to additional sources you provide separately. Since we already have a backup camera, and it already works with the current system, what I'm hoping for is some switch or mod that can trick the nav system to thinking the transmission is in reverse so it shows the existing camera.
