emission problem

Good Afternoon, I have a 2002 Protege, it seems to be giving me a bad rotten egg odor as well as a fire cracker smell coming from the emission, I changed the spark plugs and the air filter, I also bought those gasoline additives, but all with no results. I would really appreciate it, if anyone has any idea what this problem could be?

Generally, those are signs of the cat taking a dump. You are more than likely to feel a little sluggish especially when accelerating because the flow is getting restricted.
