Anyone running one in thier Pro ? It seems to have many more functions then the origional and can auto tune based on a targeted A/F.

Ideal for optimizing and fine-tuning performance products such as; Exhaust, Air Intake, Intercoolers, Boost Controllers and Turbo upgrades, the e-manage Ultimate does it better than any other system on the market. The GReddy e-manage Ultimate does what no other piggyback ECU can, engineered to preserve the best features of the original e-manage (Economically priced, there is no need for tuning from scratch and it is compatible with most Japanese performance vehicles). Some of the new Ultimate features include; add and subtract fuel and ignition maps, a two-preset memory, A/F Target Map (for self tuning), built-in adapters and correction maps, and extensive data logging with Map Tracing for easier tuning. The new e-manage Ultimate includes the Support Tool CD to access all features from a standard USB cable.

Im concerned if it wires differently then the origional system.

From selling a few, i know that it uses a different harness than the origianl one, and ive been told that the wiring of it is similar to the original, but i have not personally been involved in an install.

Ive got the emanage ultimate for $489 and the only thing you should need on top of that will be the Ultimate emanage harness that i have for an additional $84. Ive got it in stock and can ship right away, but if you have any more questions, please let me know and ill do my best to answer them

I didn't think the ultimate has worked on a Protege so far. The blue and gold have, but not the ultimate yet.

Well Im gonna be contacting Greddy in the very near future with the info I have on the origional Emanage and see what they say about converting that info to work with the ultimate.

Please do. I'd like to run the Emanage Ultimate but was told it will not work. Someone please do something so it will work haha. Just kidding. but I would like to be able to use it. Looks like a nice piece.

Well, did some callin to several different tuners and mazda geeks, the ultimate, for whatever reason, will not work with our cars ATM.

?

does anyone know how the EMU that didnt work was hooked-up? I remember hearing that the origional e manage would not work in it's most basic form (altering MAF signal) in our cars, but could be functional when the optional harnesses were attached to directly control components. Maybe this is a similar situation? I hope so, I was hoping to use a EMU in one of my projects.

pff...why waste time on the emanage ultimate? There is some spiffy new fetures but nothing too significant. For our cars you can run emanage with profect E-O1 and get alot more functions. upgrade it to gold and you will have even more functions.

Autotune are not worth the money. Its only helpful if you have a standalone that doesnt have a preloaded base map. With a emanage you can always turn if off, drive over to your tuner and tune it right with a dyno tune.

Just save the money and go for emanage blue...or convert it to Gold.

I believe it will not work becuase they dont want to spend the time updating the code or whatever to accept the new functions. The FSDE is a old outdated engine taht isnt really popular among the tuner community. But to tell you the truth Blue and gold work fine and have been proven to work. You just dont have a few of those spiffy features.

alot of those "parameters" can be done with a E-O1 boost controller. warrning light, map tracing, throttle settings

They use the same main harness aka injector harness (18 pin) and ignition harness for timming (12 pin)

those are the same harness found in the blue emanage and can be used in the ultimate.

the 3rd harness (14 pin) is completely new and does not share anything with blue.

They designed it so that anyone running blue can easily upgrade to ultimate. Mainly the big function is having a WBO2 input. Which I did in my profec E-O1 display but doesnt relay to the blue unit. I can display it on my E-O1. I believe you can do a WBO2 input with a gold upgrade. Im not sure though.

Works fine on my Australian OBDI car, but it took a looong time to sort out various issues, some being the Mazda PCM doing really weird stuff. It says FS-ZE on the box, but not in the software, so I used BP-ZE. It now has a "universal" option, but I think it is still limited to the sensors already in the software.

As for U.S. spec OBDII, no idea.

It works fine on my Singapore OBDII car. In Singapore, many of our 323(Protege) works fine on that piece of art. But in here, we are using ZM-DE (1.6l) engines only. It produce a great power tuning. But we still prefer Apexi FC commander for our Protege.
