no p5? i thought everyone loved the p5?
I totally agree with you too...its a magazine which means a s*** load of people read it and read the test review...if it wasnt sucessful or influential they would be out of business. Plus one can say its the magazine that might have spawn manufatuers like Mazda to develop the Mazdaspeed. Like the MP3 comment in the road and track handeling test...how they said the MP3 would be a contender with just a bit more power. a manufatuer might see the article and contemplate on making the car better. They use the Magazine reviews in there advertisement and no one like to be dised in a review. So they might see the potential and develop a turbo charged engine for such a car...but we never know if Mazda looked at the issue but the MSP was developed in record time after that review.Leonardo said:i agree with slug. it's a magazine, ya so what, that means whats published in it has no meaning? of coarse it does. Actually, SCC has always been fair with the MP3 and Mazdaspeed in their oppinions of it. That's why i felt the need to inquire what happened with the top 100 list. And there were several other mazdas on the list, it even mentions the new Mazdaspeed Miata, so I dont understand the ommission of the MSP at all. The whole "Mazda doesn't pay them enough" explanation doesnt make sense to me either. As I mentioned, there was a wide range of cars on the list, including lots of older Mazdas. By the way, still no response.
Now that's very well said.spacemonkey said:I totally agree with you too...its a magazine which means a s*** load of people read it and read the test review...if it wasnt sucessful or influential they would be out of business. Plus I dont know why everyone disses Magazines...unless you can somehow test drive 100 cars then you shouldnt really ride it off as BS. Thes are professionals who test cars and write reviews...its all they do...Of course its gonna be bias because its a publication...and all are bias or some bias. What makes these review good is that they provide data so is to minize bias...so the review is all opinion but the data is pretty close to the fact. But Magazines are acutally usefully when getting a ball park range. I mean how would we know how a Enzo feels? Or how would we know where our car places against an SRT-4? Top Gear is one of my favorite car review videos and its like SCC but even more bias. I am disapointed that it left the MSP out but then again alot of people dont know what our cars are. I kinda like the suprise when they see how well it handels and how it performs.
