Mazda Protege 2.0 Lx
Hey guys im kind of stuck. I want to lower my car but i dont know with wich springs are better overall. I want a nice ggod drop but not loose my ride but still loking good. And wich springs are better quality. Really looking for eibach or tein but if you guys have better sugestions then i willing to hear them out oh yeah price is not an issue... i have a 2003 protege lx with 215/40/17/ and regular stock height so wich springs would look better.

Oh yeah pics would help help out alot especially with the setup i want..

first, what offset are your wheels...you may have rubbing issues if you lower. secondly, you're gonna hear good things about both springs...and not much bad. i've got eibach's and i love them, but i've never experienced the tien's.

im really not sure about the offset but what size of rims do u have and do they make the sportline series for 2003 protege?

your offset doesnt matter...if you have the right offset and wheels you wont have a problem no matter how far you drop unless you go with something like coilovers and drop them all the way.

i have teins, its a nice drop and a cross between looks and sporty...eibachs are more sporty, teins are more for looks.

??? i'm pretty sure you could have some rubbing with the tiens if you're offset wasn't right. not positive, but it sure looks like you could.

as for me, i have 17x7's with +45 offset and there's lots of room.

shouldnt matter if you read rishies recepie. i have teins and a 17x7 +45 with 215/40s and never rubbed once, even with four passengers.

exactly. that's why i asked what offset his wheels were...in case they're +42 or +40. anyhooo...you can check out my cardomain page (go to my profile) if you want to see a P5 with 17's lowered on eibachs. good luck!!

Hey Matheww Honestly How is the ride is It similar To the stock or Real bouncy.
oh hey, another person with an LX :D

ill join in on this convo...i am planning on getting some springs too

Well I really want to compare the eibachs and teins but for the eibachs i want the sportline for an 03 proto

get eibachs... they are a little stiff... but overall they look good... its not to low just fine... so that u wont bottom out which is the worst sound... ive bottomed out three times but its cause of ice build up... over all i'd say go with eibach

do they make sportline series for my car. Beacuse all ive seen is for the 2001 but isnt that the same as for a 2003?

yea they do...i think its the same

wouldnt it be? i mean there is no difference between the 01-03 right? maybe interior and some other gagets but i mean there wouldnt be a huge difference...

It looks like the Tein drops better than the Eibach. I'm getting myself some Tein Springs soon.
