Eibach Spring Install

I recently ordered Eibach Pro springs for my MSP and was curious if anyone has done a "how-to" for the sedan. There is a P5 spring install how-to here on the forum but is somewhat spotty when it comes to details and left a lot open to interpretation when it comes to the sedan and a first time spring install. Can anyone shed some light on this install with any pics or good insight?

I know this issue has come up before but most of what I have read are replies saying how easy it is rather than actual details of how to go about the install.

Thanks for any help provided!

one word of advice.... when you are taking off the endlinks to the sway bars.... USE A HEX KEY, or you'll strip the s*** outta it. and get spring compressors and air tools... after that its easy..

i just installed my H&Rs this past weekend.....

its not really hard actually once you get down to it...

and i didnt have to use a spring compressor at all because the MP3/MSP springs just pop out once you unscrew the top of the strut.

You mean to say there is almost no compression on the stock springs with the strut cap installed?? That's odd.

still go those instructions?

I do. Just PM me and I will bounce them back to you.

The main thing about this install that should be known is HAVE AN IMPACT WRENCH or air tools handy. I demolished my sway bar endlink nut and had to replace it which wasn't fun. It turned an install that should have taken one evening into a two day affair. It's pretty easy as long as you get those endlink nuts off without stripping them.

I'm quite happy with the springs and they compare nicely to the stock MSP springs handling. The drop on the MSP is very noticeable in the front but the back seems pretty close to stock 1 week after install. On the front lip (measured at the downforcer) the drop was 1.5 inches.

Big thanks to mx3ownzj00!
