it looks like they replace the stock anit-roll bars with thicker ones and stiffer bushings. no you wouldnt be able to see those unless u got ran over by a car with those installed. and apparently no one else is interested in this thread.lol

You should be able to find those locally. There's a tuner shop in Southgate, Flexivity, that could probably get them. Plus all Belle Tire and Discount Tire locations deal Eibach.
Shop around.

Worth the $$'s I called a few places in the east side of Toronto. Best price I could find $529 CAD.

When the time comes, I think I'll be ordering these from the USA, unless anyone can point me to a Canadian retailer who's prices aren't insane.

(dunno)

It's all personal preference, man. I don't know what the price on them is but personally, I think mine rides harsh enough and corners flat enough for my needs.
If you want to make yours a kidney-bustin' slot car, that's entirely up to you. (wiggle)

hmmm.....kidney-bustin could be fun.lol. i guess u gotta point though, im not racing my car or doin anything other then my daily driving so i guess i dont need it.

It's personal prefference. I still want them.
Looking for cheaper prices in Canada,
Anybody seen them for a reasonable price?

Anybody know what the stock diamters are for the sway bar? Front and rear?

I know the eibach kit is:
25mm rear.
23mm front.

what's the factory Mazda dimaters?

djltoronto, call Martin at tires23.com. Tires23 is a sponsor of the torontomazda3.com club. He quoted me a significantly lower price than $539.

I don't think these are available yet though, even though there is an Eibach part number. I think another month before they're ready to ship.

Thanks... this is the kind of info I was hoping for!!

my friend ordered a set on ebay and they havent shipped for a while now, probably because they arent in stock. beware the ebay sales.

sway bars do not have ANY effect on ride quality. They help reduce body roll from side to side.

Sway bars are probably the most bang for your buck when it comes to suspension mods. They will be the most noticable mod, even over springs. Of course they all compliment each other, but if you were given the choice of only one mod, i'd choose sway bars in a heartbeat.

They most certainly do have an effect on ride quality. It's a giant side-to-side torsion spring.

To support this....
Imagine you have huge stiff (23mm front and 25mm rear) aftermarket sway bars installed, and you hit a bump with only one side of your car. Since the sway bars link the two sides together, the more rigid the sway bar, the more you will feel this bump.

Basically, sway bars in effect reduce the independent suspensions ability to performing independently; this most certainly affects ride quality, even while driving in a straight line.

But affects it in a positive way no???? I mean, perofrmance wise...not factory feel wise...does this post make any sense?

I had Racing Beat Sway Bars and Strut Tower Bar, Mazdaspeed Springs, Tokico Blues and it sat on the stock Racing Heart wheels with Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712 205/45/17's tires(if I remember right) installed on my MP3 when I had it. That car handled like it was on rails, it was insanely stiff in the corners. I will admit that you would notice it when you hit a pot hole or went over a rough spot in the road, but I think that it was definately worth it. The ride still wasn't that harsh, at least not too harsh for me. (nana)
