Hello,
I just bought a cx-7 a few weeks ago with about 50k miles on it. love the car but only a few weeks and I got a CEL. went to advanced auto parts and they said it was on for EGR flow insufficient. so I investigated and it seems to be a common issue around this mileage. odd. the further I investigated I found to have this done at a dealership is about $1200. that's insane so I bought this one:
http://www.partstrain.com/store/?PN...798+4294966602+4294966817&Nr=AND(universal:0)
the part itself is slightly different in size but it still butt's up the same. it also required a longer hose since the hose placement was also different. I installed this part today and everything seems to be properly connected yet when i cranked the car it is now misfiring and the traction control light is now flashing
. If i had the money to take it to a mechanic i would do so. I'm no mechanic but I'm pretty savvy. I don't have the slightest clue how misfiring or traction control light flashing could even be related to the egr but i didn't break anything and everything went back the same as it came out. I know this may be a little advanced for a forum and very hard without seeing it yourself but any help would be very much appreciated. thanks
