This question has likely already been asked and/or is a dumb one, but if the MP3 engine is for the most part the same as the Pro5 engine, why not just buy an ECU from the MP3 and get that extra ten horsepower??

very easy question to answer.....call the dealer...you will find they are asking a little over $1000 for the ecu.....

not hardly worth it for 10 hp now is it?

yeah...ECUs are very expensive to buy...and $1000 is a lot to pay for a MP3 ecu...if you really want to get another ecu...i'd wait til you get some other performance mods then get a performance ecu which are much more expensive but also much better performing...

you could get the mp3 ecu but i'm also very doubtful that you'll be getting 10hp from it...but there will be a slight increase...

Cat Back Exhaust
J-spec Int Cam
Mazdaspeed Exhaust Cam
Mazdaspeed Piston Set

you'll get 15+ horsepower from that and have money left over...
