ECU ReFlash to MP3 Option

Well, the way it seems, it is next to impossible for anyone to get it done, so I'd write it off as not gonna happen...I don't know why the other forum died on the idea...Just buy a microtech...all the control you'll ever need...

I'm glad I broke down and just bought the MP3 ECU and stopped waiting for things to develop...Best 300 bucks I've spent on the P5....besides the header..which was the best $150 bucks I spent...

Pull out the defib....Bring it back to life!!!! It's a great improvement..and it should be pretty easy to do...You would think..

Where did you buy yours??

PLease Ken! Do it!
See the sign up sheet! There should be enough dedicated peeps to make the business case here...

So the MP3 ecu needs premiem fuel to produce the smoother curve. Got it. Only question I have is how high of premiem are we talking? Would something like 89 be fine or do I need 91/93 octane?

Premium...Not silver/mid-grade...91-94...Higher the octane the further it can try to advance the timing to the knock sensor...

Ken/protegegarage: have you looked at this for a business opportunity? What do you need? Commitment with cash deposit? I belive the desire is so strong that won't be a problem.

Let us know! Thanks!

Had a few questions about the ECU flashing. What is a VTCS? After the ECU swap does the car require premium fuel? What is the HP gain? New to this forum so I'm not very informed on what some of this stuff means.
Thanx
