Ebay vs. Injen... hmmmm

jesus man we are talking about intakes here you're looking at no more of a 10whp gain (but more than likely 3-8 depending) either way you look at it. some people need carb stickers, some don't. some people think that injen little piece of polished piping is better than ebay's polished piping. get the ebay intake, get a K&N filter or equvilant and you have the same thing the guy that spent 200+ for his injen intake. (shrug) i just don't see this minimal hp gain being that big of a deal.

i've got the ebay cai right now and i love it. the only reason i'm selling it and getting an injen is because i wanted the carb sticker. that and i couldn't find a good ebay intake in red. i know the ebay is almost exactly the same, but i'd like to keep my car as legal as possible.

the pipe was vibrating and rubbing against the hole. i used the hose from my ebay intake, sliced it, and slid it around. It's more of a cushion.

Haha, my MSP Injen' was doinbg the same thing (vibrating due to my AWR mounts) so I did the exact same thing except red, it looks great! Glad to know there are others out there that think like me!

I guess yours also has a CARB APPROVED sticker/plate for people that need it in cali and dyno sheets that are posted like they have on Injens website for that specific make not to mention that most of the e-bay intakes **** with the master brake cylinder where they have damaged it and come with a POS filter. Not to mention all the R&D that all the e-bay intakes have gone through. I for one still suggest that people should go with either K&N typhoon or Injen if they are going to stay N/A for a while like myself and spend more $$ if your going turbo in a short period of time might as well save your money and go to Home depot and ghetto rig some aluminum tubing and save yourself even more cash.

I personally opted for the Injen b/c it was one of the 1st intakes on the market while I was still waiting for parts on this car, now I wish I have waited and got the K&N typhoon intake because that can be made into a SRI or CAI easily.

just so you know you should be able you can mount the cone to the end of the MAF...

Carb on an intake also means they paid all the stupid fees to have it approved... thats about it. Gains are mainly seen by the filter type.

.... i had the same problem of rubbing..... so before it was to late and rubbed through... i cut about 1 cm off and it totally clears now... no problems with it to date.
