ebay Turbo Manifold Question

alrighty thanks for the reply, ill report back for sure if i get any cracks in my manifold after installing the pope downpipe
 
My callaway is cracked between 1&2 and 3&4 with stock callaway dp , lemme know how the tubular one looks, need a temp till I cand go with a steedspeed or just braze the stock mani
 
got_psi. Can you see the cracks visibly? I'd really appreciate a picture. Also, how many miles, what boost/tune have you been running and for how long? Also, have you tightened your bolts past spec?

car has 153,xxx miles, stock turbo, stock manifold, stock DP i bought this car last october with 129,xxx on it and the heatshield was on the mani, but when i took it off i noticed the bigger of the 2 cracks, the smaller one was barely noticable. the car was 100% stock when i got it and didnt show any sign of any modifications. im now running 8-8.5 psi, superstock tune on ssafc, catback, CAI, hard pipes, SSQV, 1 step colder plugs, and electronic boost controller. you can here the tick/hiss from the cracks when i give it a cold start up but after 3 mins, it goes away when it warms up. and i have never had the manifold off or torqued the bolts.
 
Bought mine with 101k and was already cracked. Car was completely stock when I got it. All I did was grind the crack down and weld it. I also cracked and broke the stock piece that holds the s-pipe to the block if that give any insight.

just hard wire mig weld?
 
I may try this. I'll have the motor out and the car will be getting rebuilt starting next month, so I will have some time to possibly modify it.....to make it to my liking ;)
