IIRC Protegegarage has one with the correct flange, but you'll need different charge piping as the turbo will be straight as opposed to the slight angle with the stock manifold

also.. the manifold hasnt cracked and its been on my car for almost 2 months now.. no cracks, its bronzed very nicely however i would recommend picking it up from protegegarage...

also for people the people who gave these bad reviews.. show me where people have had problems... because i search and havent heard any bad reviews.. also the manifold is covered with a lifetime warrenty..

the manifold has a T3 style flange allowing for any turbo that has a T3 flange to bolt up to it. stock T25R turbos from the MSP will not bolt up to it. its setup for an external wastegate and it really won't work with an internally gated turbocharger. it also has no provision for EGR.

i've sold alot of obx headers for the protege, hundreds honestly, and the ratio of sold VS cracked is pretty small. in the last five years i've seen five or six crack out of gazillion sold. three of those i know for sure were thanks to broken motor mounts.

the obx turbo manifold for the rx7 is known for being crack happy thanks to its design. i've not seen a protege turbo manifold break thus far, and people who have bought them from me have done the craziest s*** with them. i think matthew is the only customer who bought and installed it as is, haha. i have had customers cut the exhaust flange off and flip it upside down to make a huge turbo fit, i have had people buy it and then modify the stock msp downpipes to fit their new setups, etc etc.

i do tell everyone that calls in about it that its not a replacement manifold for the msp, more that its designed to help N/A customers get thier cars turboed. it is a direct swap, no BS, for the Spool tubular T3 manifold. we removed Matthew's and put the obx in, turbo and downpipe lined up exactly where the Spool was. talk about luck.

regardless, it does have a lifetime warranty from OBX and they will replace it given the proper motivation :)

**** me! What about the Spool Log manifold? If it replaces that, I'll take one like yesterday! SOmeone give me a measurement fro mthe BOTTOM ofthe head flange, to the TOP of the turbo flange, and also measure to verify that it's centered L to R.

Me and an old coworker talked about trying to hit 10's in a CRX ONLY powered by OBX parts... hahahaa. those jokers make EVERYTHING. scary!

The only issue im having is the exhaust manifold is leaking on the far right side of the exhaust mani because the exhaust mani bolts are TQ down all the way, i would TQ them myself but i dont have a 12mm socket wrench with a extension

its not leaking horribly but it is present...

my only question is if the exhaust mani bolts arent TQ down properly is it possible for exhaust to leak through the bolt? cause i saw a spec or 2 on the exhaust mani

Ya it can leak through the bolts, but if it's not torqued down on all bolts, it's gonna warp. Had it happen. Howcan you not have a 12mm deep socket and extension?

Don't over tighten. I did that and stripped one of my holes. Got a heli-coil put in while the head was off. But ya the head is aluminum, so don't strip them. Torque them down when cold, then drive the car and do it again when they're real hot. I did and my leaks and everything went away.

if you have a T25??? I don't think so look around here for a log style mani that focus is selling or some other forum members..

but unless you have a T3... that OBX will not work for your setup
