Easy HP Gain tips

I don't know what to tell you then.

Dynos show they free up power, the experience of pretty much everyone who has installed them indicates they make a difference (including myself).

Maybe you should get one, install it and then see.

This.

Guess I could try it maybe it was just me? Or the crank pulley is where the gain comes from. And I was driving with no belts because one broke and shredded the other and the store that I pulled over at wouldn't let me replace them there and threatned to tow it if I left it. Autozone was 1/2 mile down the road so I just drove it there.

Weight reduction isn't going to make an appreciable difference on a small scale, except for your unsprung weight. You remove 50lbs, you're not going to feel a huge difference. Adding heavier rims will make a difference in the negative direction, lighter rims will in a positive.

If you're going N/A, Intake-Header-Exhaust. An underdrive pulley will give you better pull in lower gears. With a lightened flywheel you will feel a big difference, but that's not cheap or easy to install. An MP3 ecu is also a must if you have a manual.

Unless you turbo, there's not huge power to be found. But, you can give the car more pep off the line, making it more fun to drive. The above suggestions will make that difference.

thats right.... 50 lbs is not going to make too much of a difference that you can feel. but if you take everything that you dont need. am talking about all seats, except drivers, trim panels, carpet, insulation, spare tires, AC, electric windows..... etc.... you get the idea. removal of 200 pounds that makes a difference.

and the best of this mod.... is free..... just time consuming

It is, but how much of a difference are you making, even then? I suppose it all comes down to what you're willing to live without, but I think that in most people's minds, stripping a car down that much for a bit more performance isn't worth what you lose. Just my $0.02.

And if you didn't already do it swap that stock tank of a cd player for a light aftermarket one.

Don't forget the dash and airbags windows antenna seatbelts get some lightweight lugnuts too and to top it off don't eat for a few weeks and you'll have about 60 lbs there
