the torque numbers seem right, wonder why the HP is so low? tell us if you find out.srd555 said:I live in florida, and I had my car dyno'd on a dyno jet last week with 2500 miles on the clock and bone stock. I got 136 whp and 151 wtq, it was 90 deg in the dyno room but i had 3 fans blowing on the intercooler. I was a little dissapointed, since all the magazines I read say 146-150 whp. The A/f reading went to 8.5:1 between 4k and 5.5k rpm and then came back up to 10.5:1 from 5.5K to redline.
I thought that maybe the guy running the dyno screwed up on the correction factors, but I was wrong. Two SRT-4s dyno'd after me and both put down 213whp and 240wtq stock, which is about right. There were 5 Spec v (my old crew) rich with bolt-on products, they dyno'd between 160-169whp and 168-173wtq just like they always do.
Has anyone else dyno'd this low? I do not have a boost gauge yet, but I think that my car is one of those that is runnig 4 PSI.![]()
i agree. also what rpm were these numbers at? maybe for some reason you have a boost leak or something at high rpm's and the motor just dies off. a boost gauge would definately help out, or you could pressure test your turbo system if you suspect a boost leak, if you want to know how to make one let me know.Scrapin 240 said:the torque numbers seem right, wonder why the HP is so low? tell us if you find out.
