well, i just got in from dyno'ing the beast.

results: 111.1 HP, 117.1 Torque

thats just with the injen, eventually i'll go turbo, and shatter that!

what what?? 111.1 ? what the hell?
is that not really low?
does this mean that a stock civic EX can out run my mp3?

You know thats HP at the wheels right. Not the crank.

yeah i know this, but mazda is testing at the crank correct?
i would hope honda was to. if not..... that is very very depressing.:wtf:

111 to me is weak. so im about to with draw a large chunk of cash and drop in ignition exhaust and etc.
hehe. while driving the mp3 it seems like it has more pep that my old automatic civic but honestly, theres not enough difference to make me feel good about spending 18k. so i think after i buy all my ignition and what nots, i plan to sell that bastard honda and buy my mp3 a spool turbo kit. and then ill take it to get it dynoed,
anyone know of a dyno testing facility in alabama tennesse or georgia?

hey dmitrik4, why did you rid yourself of the RSX?
i love those cars. id trade my mp3 for one (mmm six speed)

6-speeds aren't everything! I have a Spec-V and would love to have an MP3!

Hey Minus
Every manufacter dynoes at the crank...don't worry, you've still got more ponies that a civic. 111 wheel hp is not bad at all. as is the 117 torque. Actually is quite an improvement with just that INJEN than stock puts out.

I made 110.7 and 115.9 stock...So, 111 and 117 isn't that big of an improvement from just an intake.

And torque is what matters on the street anyway. That is what pulls you away froma stop light or out of a corner. Horsepower is only good for top-end...

good job derrick.....:D

and minus, i'm pretty sure that every company posts at the crank because it shows more horsepower:)

i decided to go back to school and was able to cut $200 off my monthly payment by switching to the Pro. damn i miss that RSX...i really cannot say enough good things about it, from the performance to the looks to the "quality feel to the economy (27-32 mpg) to the utility (brought home an entire bedroom set from ikea in it) to the sound of the motor at 8000 rpm...*snif* :( i think a lot of people who only test drove it tend to bash it (along with the blanket honda-haters:rolleyes:). i don't know any owners who don't love it.

IMO, the transmission was the best part of the car. easily the best transmission/shifter i've ever used.

in the words of ferris bueller, "if you have the means, i highly recommend one. it is so choice."

It's been my xperience that Honda makes the smoothest and best manual trannies. Also, most people that test drive a V-Tec car like a Prelude or RSX, don't really know how to DRIVE it. They putter around like a normal car and are affraid to rev it beyond 5500rpm's. I had a 97 Prelude. Best tranny I ever drove back then, even now. Once that Vtec kicked in VROOM! Fun as hell. I miss that car....wouldn't trade the mp3 for it, but I do miss the power.
