Dyno Results

...Notice the a/f between 3k and 4k... wicked rich. Losing good hp there. Oh well...

Yikes!! Yeah no kidding Dave. I know you told me over the phone that it was rich at those rpms, but it was actually off the chart rich there for a little bit. It looks like there's definitely some horsepower to be had with tuning on your car. I think that piggy back or a standalone system, if you can swing it, would be a good investment. Nevertheless, your hp & tq numbers are excellent I think, congrats.

Congrats, man know I have to go and dyno mine to see were I'm at. was sick yesterday if not I would gone with you!

(threadjack) onrails, how much louder is your exhaust compared to stock? Did you keep the resonator? Thanks
It's not that much louder than stock.. only when you punch it. I don't have a resonator. Sounds real good.

looks good i found when i have my joe p fcd hooked up my car detonates at high rpm at anything above 9 psi. i talked to joe p and he confirmed that the fcd would alter the timing and fuel curves. he recommended to run a switch to turn the fcd on and off when needed. so i only use my fcd when i run race gas and boost over 12psi. given you are at 10psi you might want to try no fcd.

He said he liked it much more than the unichip one. It's about $500 (they make one for our cars), and he said he'd put it in and tune it for like $100.
wait what?
more info on this!

Don't go all crazy now.... just because one guy says he can install something doesn't mean:
A, it's better than anything else in any way
B, he actually can do it
C, it's ever been done

My guess is the tuner installs them and he likes the system mostly due to familiarity. Also, I'll bet he has never installed this on an MSP before.

ah...i see the a/f lines now...at first glance it just looked like a empty chart. wow how weird on the lean a/f....another example of how different every msp is...as far as the fcd messing with the fuel curve, you could adjust the screw on the box so it kicks the ground on later in the boost curve, this should prevent it from leaning out too much...

You mean rich? I thought it was safe to be around 11.5 -12 on turbo cars?

imo splitsec is not that good. friends delt with in the past and were very un happy just to let you know

if i remember corectly all the splitsecond does is let you alter the maf signal, where a unichip controls fuel and ignition and boost. also the resolution on the unichip is much better.
