dyno day and meets

coming on guys the nice weather is here and i know i want to get my afc tunned and see is i have any knock.

I can prolly get a deal on a dyno day at, Modern Automotive Performance, my friend works there. 2WD Dyno Jet. Could more than likely get a good deal too.

i was hopeing one of the guys that know people at dp performance could get something going cause i heard they are good with proteges

Yeah I would like to go to DB. We could probably get at least 10 people and have it 60 for three pulls. Ghostmercury, you would have to show up early or go last if your planning to tune as well. If not tune that day they can at least check for knock/detonation when you do your 3 pulls. All it would take is a phone call up there to ask for a group rate.

and i know for dam sure i am running rish as hell so would i have to go at a different time to get tuned.

i would love to go to dp with the fellow mazda guys. cause everyone around here sucks, i checked out all the tunning shops and they dont know s***

Careful with the bashing of shops man. Just cuz they don't know your car doesn't mean they don't know sh*t. Ya i just wish there were some more people around the north or even north west subs cuz i'm all alone out here and don't have the money to make the trips down south weekly

lol, i make the trip to coon rapids from maplewood daily.

June 10th is the next SC day at Rock Falls....
I know MNSC is having a meet this coming weekend....
MNMazda has a dyno day set for May 26th......

I say we should all caravan to the Rock Falls SC day- It is only ten bucks to watch if you don't want to race and it is definately a lot of fun whether you watch or race. And there is lots of advance notice for all ye work-a-holics.

IMO

Rock falls is great, it's a long drive, but we have like TWO meets a year. I've been there twice and haven't raced yet. I def want to race this time. Its cool whether you race or not though. So lets do this man! Very good idea.

also they open EARLY in the morning so if you don't want to stay all day you can leave and do what it is you do on the weekend too.

the dyno meet is tommorrow at LSE Performance up north, starting at 11am, if anyone is bored tommorrow morning.

impressive #'s from the new mazda turbo engine's yesterday, will have pics and vids up soon.

http://www.mnmazda.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=135&d=1180242102 click for the dyno #'s. Note how the dyno was running, with the stock MSP hitting 130 whp, my stock MSP hit 145 on a dyno with correction factor so if you want to get an idea of the real whp #'s MULTIPLY BY 1.12. (example 130 X 1.12 = 145)

NOTE: the dyno was incredibly accurate run to run, cars did 3 runs and the graphs were almost exact duplicates.

pics and vids are up

the pics are BIG sorry if that's bad for some of you.

THE NUMBERS...this is what the cars laid down.

sorry no RX7 dynos, I had to leave blame the other people.

note...the car's hp #'s are LOWER at LSE because the dyno is tured for accuracy PULL TO PULL for tuning. LSE uses a state of the art brand new Dyno Dynamics unit. You can figure the correction factor IF YOU REALLY WANT TO by looking at the following numbers...

here are the numbers of some stock cars that have dyno'd there vs other dynos numbers...
stock rx8 LSE 179hp vs 203 hp on mustang dyno
stock MSP LSE 130hp vs my stock MSP 145 hp on dynojet
stock 06 Viper LSE 405hp vs 455 hp on dynojet
stock MINI S LSE 154hp vs 163 hp dynojet (the mini did VERY well on this dyno)
