Has anyone placed Dynamat on the rear hatch of their P5? And if so does it help the rattle on the rear hatch???

for the reattle look into spoiler removal/deadening I'm pretty sure there's on in thehow-to section Dynamat isn't the be-all end-all answer to rattels. infact most have to be solved with a bit of weatherstripping.

even after you fix it -- there might still be a little noise just because you cant stop the hatch from flexing or bouncing -- but its a 100% better with out rattle and my dumb ass didnt take pics when i did my wing -- good luck :)

dude, even with at least 2 layers of mat everywhere in my car, everything still shook when i had the 18 in there. floor pan, doors flexing, the dash, and i'm pretty sure i rememeber something coming from the gas tank area, but that was the least of my worries(rockon)

For in between the metal and the interior door skin you want to use Tacmat, rather than Dynamat. It's a big foamy piece that'll compress and make a good seal...it's a lot like a big sheet or weatherstripping. I't also made by Dynamat...just check it out on their site.

They are all correct. I used 2-3 layers of Dynomat Extreme on the hatch and with only 1 12, I still have rattles out the ying-yang. I will be looking into the spoiler and license plate fixes. My interior panel on the hatch also seems to rattle pretty badly. Hmmm...Home Depot spray foam....tempting...ok, maybe not.

it makes a difference -- you can try and fire the subs up like mine and that would also help with some the rattles --- just my 2cents
