Would it state on my title if my car is a 2003.5? Bought the car used and it has no rack, and I need a rack for kayaks. So just tryin to figure out what everyones talkin about, between 2003 2003.5

The build date is a good place to start - look inside the drivers side door jam for the sticker. Also, I'm sure someone here would be interested in swapping out your filler panels for a rack - throw up a post in the WTB / WTT section. It's a PITA however because you need to drop the headliner.

Yakima makes aftermarket racks too, you are not limited to the OEM. You are in luck if you want the facotry rack though. There is quite a decent demand for those filler strips where the rack used to be.

Ya the standard rack works great for 1 kayak but if u wanna put two on good luck

I have the factory rack and i hold two kayaks. PM me if you need more info for the kayak holders.

Thule makes racks called hullaports which attach to the factory rack & carry kayaks on their sides. You'll need 2 sets to carry 2 kayaks. They have straps that hold them in the racks. I carry 2 12' kayaks with them or I can mix & match a kayak with a bike or cargo box up top. The factory racks are good to 165lbs.
