dry wash then wax?

Due to time and weather constraints I was thinking of using Meguirs Quick detail for dirt removal then using the Meguirs NXT wax for protection. I rarely do conventional washing these days as I just don't have the time, but when it comes to waxing I've always done a meticulous "standard" wash before hand. Any potential problems I should be aware of before doing this?

I appologize if this has already been covered....no time to search right now. Thanks.

I would not do that, just wash it the normal way.

If you dry wash it you will scratch your paint work.

I was already sure dry washing wasn't good, but I've been assuming its better than never cleaning. I'm sure the fine scratches are there, but I never notice them. What I want to know is, is there any reason not to put a decent coat of wax on a car that was cleaned in such a way?
