what's up guys, i went to visit my car, being that it's almost all done from the wreck, and they asked me to trive it up to the muffler shop, didn't realize it didn't have a mufler on it, i figured the stock one was still on there sicne the accident only damaged a small portion of ot, well it turns out the just unbolted it straight from the cat back... wow what a fun drive, not only did i fel a pretty good increase in power, but at idle i could'nt hear the guy sittiong next to me in the car talking loudly it was so loud (dance)...
anyway the muffler shop welded up the mufler i brought them (an OBX can) along with a resinator and sawed off one of the cats... now all i gotta do is get the car back, go to my local shop, and have them build me a testpipe, flange, CEL fix and i'll be 2.5 inch all the way back... WOOT!

it kicked teh ass, some dude in a truck looked at me hard, so i revved REALLY hard, and i think he was teh scared because he like started talking to his friend and was likme, yo that s*** was tight... yeah another advantake of loud exhaust is that heel toe-ing is SOO much easier when you can hear every bit of noise your motor is making! the guy that owns the shop used to race in sircuits or what not, i forget, but he was impressed at my heel toe downshifting and cornering abilities, he's like "not bad for 17 y/o" and my car made him respect imports much more (he's a domestic head.)

rant over.. sorry i'm just soo excited that after about 3 months i'm getting my car back in the next 3 days WOOT!

My friend ran open downpipe (after 2nd cat) with the boost at 10psi and the car was slower than stock. Or so it seemed.

I didnt feel any gain?? Maybe it was the noise???

could have very well been, could have also been that i haven't driven the car in about 3 months. but it sounded good, i'll give everyone a heads up on the custom 2.5 inch with one deleted car when i get the car back either late tonight or tomorrow.

Thats about the 4 or 5th time Ive heard about an Apex DP breaking, I was considering one but after hearing them break so much I doubt I would go with them

there is an increase for sure. the sound to power ratio is a bit off sounds like it should be much faster. i dynoed mine with a cat delete and dump. i gained 19 whp. great mod, great sound, runs better. its great if you can handle the noise. no bueno for daily driving.

i drove my old corvette 30 miles right off the headers once. I was taking it to get the exhaust done and when i got there i could here a thing... It would be interesting to hear a 4cyl with open exhaust

yeah its sounds great. got lots of complements. it is very loud and i did get a lot of bad stares from some old folks. u can hear the turbo spool which is badass.
sorry im not sure what you mean by crush bends and size. i a guessing U are refering to the pipe i have. here is a pic of what i had on my car (it is for sale too )
