drove the 6s 5 speed today :-|

drove the car tonight...felt solid...traction control was nice...sounded like an lsd...but i'm not too sure it has one...impressions of the car it was nice. handled good for a 3200+ lb car. cockpit felt tight..everything was where it was supposed to be...red glow and center console needs some getting used to..but it was more then adequate in the styling department.. i tested a base 6s with the stock 16" alloys..so i'm sure the sport package 17" would be much better....speed was NOT up to par..my civic right now runs 15.3 with the original motor...14.4 with the other one i had in it..feels like my civic woulda walked this car...dunno if the 6 needs to be broken in further..it had about 175 miles on it..but it didn't feel like a "15.4" second quarter mile car. yes i know how to drive stick. the salesman said he's never been with another driver who's style was like me..hahah maybe high 15's. i'm in the market obviously for a mazdaspeed pro. i think i'm gonna wait as long as weather permits...slammed civic and snow on summer yoko's don't mix.

don't forget the car is not even broken in yet. Plus the 15.4sec 1/4mile was tested by an experienced driver, so i'm pretty sure normal drivers would be in the 15.6-15.8sec range. for instance my friend who owns a 00 Civic SI ran a 15.7sec 1/4mile at famoso race track in Bakersfield cali. He has AEM CAI, Greddy exhaust, DC-Sport headers, Vtec controller, AEM cam gears. He should be in the 15.2-15.3sec range for a normal driver with his mods.
