so i went to the reack last night and all i could pull was a 15.5 and i have intake ,exhaust, and 8 psi, but my traps were in the 90's so i know that has 14's written all over it. so i was wondering if you guys have any stratagies like launch techniques and shift points, so i can get my time down thanks!

dont take the msp drag racing, imho, its more of a full course car than it is a drag car... hope you dont break your lsd

LOL, that was a helpful post.

Lower your tire pressure to 20psi up front.

Launch the car at around 4000rpm, but slip the clutch.

Shift somewhere between 6000 and 6500rpm.

What were your 60' times?

really 4000! i was launchin at like 2 lol cause i spin hella bad but i had 35 psi in my tires. my best is a 2.2 and thats not bad but i dont know i hooked up for some reason lol. ill try the 4000 launch and see how that does. thanks for the help! oh and when you shift do you slip the clutch a little or just pop it, cause it seemed to help is i diddnt let off the gas all of the way and slip the clutch a little when shifting?

Well, heres my schpeeel. Do you have a front motor mount? If not be careful launching at higher RPMs cause of the front end hop you are going to get will ruin the launch. Also, what kind of reaction times were you pulling? The last time I went to the track there were two yellow lights before the green and I literally launched full force on the second yellow light and pulled out a .044 reation time and lowered my times by a lot. Double clutching is also an option- keep the gas pedal down when you push the clutch in and shift. Not reccomending that you drive down the street like this as it will burn your clutch to s*** but if you are looking to get better times at the track, it does help! Last time I went to the track I pulled a 15.9 with a SRI, axel back stock replacement exhaust, stock boost, and all season tires.

cool man. at my track the reaction time doesnt matter cause the dont start the clock untill you leave the line. but .044 is good! yea i dont have a motor mount maybe that will be one of the next upgrades. i tried to launch at 4 and all i got was spiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin lol. i think i found my sweet spot though aroud 2200 rpm and slip the clutch and half throttle untill i fell like i have good traction, and the whole double clutch think works real good. but we will see how it does at the trachk!

yeah for sure! good luck! i would definately reccomend a motor mount though! just the front one is good enough- most people think the rear one gives it too much vibration... and it is a b**** to install.

Its called power shifting.

keep a watch for them selling here on the forums- i got mine from a fellow MN member for $40 bucks- made by AWR... thats the one you are going to want. Otherwise, Im sure ********** or protegegarage sells them.

yea i have both the front and rear awr mounts... the vibration is unreal!!! the dash feels like is gonna fall apart

ok heres what i do and im getting pretty good times 14.3 and 94 mph with corksport exhaust corksport motor mounts forge mbc at psi and cone filter on stock intake lower the tire pressure down to 17psi it works for me and launch close to 3500 rpms and feather the clutch off the start and then just s*** as fast as u can around 6500 rpms thats what i do and it works for me

DAMN! what kind of tires do ypu have? haha i did a 15.2 at 93 lol yessss so i should be able to do low 14's trapping 93!
